Where was I...............

It has been a very long time since I have updated this blog. As I mentioned before there have been many changes lately. This year has been a new adventure, but the sadness of losing my cat has been hard to deal with. I am teased for letting it affect me so much, but he has been with me throughout many tough periods in my life and there will never be another cat like Mr. Kitty. However, I have fallen in love again (both with a new man and a new little furry-friend) Both have stolen my heart and made life better. We'll get to the boy later, first I will tell you about Darla the Kitty......she is the biggest stinker on earth. She is into everything and is the most mischevious creature I have ever known. I wasn't planning on getting a new cat, but when I was getting my hair done, Linda told me she had a kitten she was trying to find a home for because she couldn't take care it, it took 1 second of holding Darla to know she belonged with me. She is proving to be a little hard to handle, sharpening her claws on my house (I have a log home, so whittling the logs is not the best thing for the house....it's not like I can take it apart and replace the logs) she terrorizes the dogs, is fascinated with water and sits in my lap whenever I am trying to get ready in the morning. I will post a picture of her later because all of the pictures I have are on my phone and would not show up well on the blog.

Now on to my other new love, Jeff. He is unlike anyone I have ever dated in my past and I am POSITIVE I am unlike anyone he has ever dated. It has made for an interesting dynamic while we have been figuring eachother out. He is superman....never stops moving and doing things while I am more leisurely. I like quiet, reading, stillness. He has taken over my entire house, making it so beautiful for me to live in. Simple projects that never entered my mind have made a huge difference in the beauty of my home. It has been so much fun to see the transformation, and I love that he does so much for me. It is nice to be taken care of for once. He is from Connecticut, where his entire family still lives, but moved to Newport Beach (just down the street from my Grandpa Gwilliam) about 11 years ago. Three years ago he came to Park City for the Sundance film festival, fell in love with the area and started splitting his time between Newport and PC. He loves animals (everyone knows how important this is to me), is so fun and is more kind-hearted than I can say. In fact, I have a tendency of hurting his feelings because I am such an un-emotional person, but he puts up with it!

Janelle and I on July 4th.......I looked like the American flag vomited on me

The two dorks.....Jeff's dog Yazzy and my little Chew-bug

The lovely Katy

Megan and my Boo-face, Rachel

Rachy and I.....I was playing with colors and tweaking photos. Trying to make them more interesting

My ladies
So that's about all for the past 6 months...new adventures, new loves, new life. I am turning 30 on Sunday, and it is amazing how this crossroad has made me think of what I have accomplished in my life, what I have not accomplished, and what I hope to accomplish. It is weird to grow up and realize nothing will ever be the same, everything changes. I am ringing in my 30th year in Paris so wish me a bon voyage! Can't wait to tell you all about it next week.
